We built it around a simple idea: conversation shouldn't need a sign-up form. Guests get a friendly handle and can chat right away; creating an account is only useful if you want to keep a room of your own, invite specific people into a private room, or keep track of people you've met.
Random chat only works if people feel safe using it. Messages are automatically screened for abusive content, repeated violations lead to a temporary mute, and every message can be reported for review.
